Description
Kava has been used as an anti-depressant that elevates mood and sensory perception. Some have used it for pain relief and to decrease adrenaline. It is an emotional limbic brain tonic. As an anxiolytic some have used it as an alternative from Valium, Zanax, Librium. Halcyon, Klonopin, and Dalmane. Kava may help cognitive function and socialization. Kava is not addictive and may help sedation for sleep and sleep beyond REM cycle. Some use it as an anti-convulsant and muscle relaxer. It is a cerebral circulatory stimulant. It is also used for stress axis (pituitary, hypothalamus, adrenals). It is good for light sleepers and those who are hyperactive. It is used for acute or chronic pain. Some have used it to ween off alcohol and drugs.
